Riyadh Air warns against fraud applications

RIYADH — In light of a recent surge in fraudulent employment advertisements, Riyadh Air, a Saudi Arabian airline, has issued a cautionary public statement.

These misleading advertisements have been seen across various social media platforms, luring aspiring candidates with false promises of job opportunities. In exchange for job application processing, these fraudulent ads request substantial sums of money or personal banking details.

The company  has emphatically stated that under no circumstances do they request pre-fees or private bank account information from applicants during the job application process.

The airline urges all potential applicants to exercise due diligence and submit their personal information and applications exclusively through official Riyadh Air platforms.

It’s important to note that Riyadh Air, fully owned by the Public Investment Fund (PIF), was established in April 2023 under the patronage of the Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammad Bin Salman. The airline aims to capitalize on Saudi Arabia’s strategic location at the crossroads of Asia, Africa, and Europe, thereby transforming Riyadh into a global hub for transportation, commerce, and tourism.
